A year ago, I told our Town Council in the meeting that people would travel from Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Frederick, Carlisle etc. to ride a pump track if we built one here. There is not another public pump track in this region.

Last night, it finally happened. Had a large group with peeps from all of the above mentioned cities. Thanks to the organizer (it wasn't me) for getting the word out. I think there were so many people last night, that the hot local stars were a little bummed at having to compete for a clear line.

Don't forget to tell the powers to be that some rednecks from Jersey Shore, PA even came to visit the pump track back in the fall. If for no other reason, it was to avoid day number 2 of the PA MTB summit, especially after a tapping of some Porter and IPA at some Harrisburg-Hillbilly's event. Also, we did help the local economy by giving the local trail-bum a dollar or two for his mid-day fix. After all, having titanium bikes on your roof rack does make you feel like enough of an asshole that donating beer or crack money to a bum is a necessity.....
